Welcome Event: Team Building and Track Info

At T9Hacks, we think hackathons are more fun in teams!

We're going to be hosting a networking and team building event before hacking and the workshops start. It'll be hosted right after opening ceremonies, from 11am-12pm. You can pitch a project idea, find a team, and talk with the people helping us host the Cybersecurity Track and Humanitarian Tracks. You'll also be able to talk with our cool sponsors!

Slack

We'll be using the T9Hacks Slack as our main form of communication at the hackathon. If you've never used Slack before, it's a like a instant messaging system.

Go to the T9Hacks Slack Now!

We've sent invites to you with email you used in your registration; however, if you want to sign-up with a different email, you can Use This Form

Look through the #team_formation channel to look for a team or project before the hackathon.

Tracks

At T9hacks, you can participate in three tracks were hosting: Cybersecurity, Creative Technology, or Humanitarian Technology. You can learn more about these tracks on the Tracks Page of the website

Cybersecurity

Our sponsor, MD5 will be hosting the Cybersecurity Track, which is a completely fun and game-based way of getting introduced to cybersecurity! This track will be offered to women and non-binary students and focused on beginners. If you've ever been interested in learning about cybersecurity, but haven't known how to get started, check this track out!

Technical Workshops

We'll be hosting workshops starting at the beginning of the hackathon and running through Saturday night. You can learn more about the workshops on the Workshop Page of the website.

Some of the workshops have requirements, so make sure to check that you have the right software installed before attending the hackathon (or else you'll spend the entire workshop installing software!)

Professional Development Events

We'll have two professional development events at the hackathon:

Fun and Games

Plan for a fun time at T9Hacks!

  • Dinner on Saturday: Catered by Noodles and Company
